I lived at the vici for four amazing years, and it was an incredible experience. The building’s atmosphere, top-notch amenities (rooftop views with bbq grill, pizza oven, hibachi grill) and the vibrant community made it feel like home. A special shoutout to James Reza, whose exceptional service truly stood out. From securing restaurant reservations to assisting with any of my many requests he went above and beyond to enhance our stay. Helping set up all my events and being a truly great human. If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury, convenience, and a welcoming culture, is the perfect choice in little Italy. it’s a great community right on the Pizza with the hustle and bustle. The community events are awesome. Would move back in the future 10/10

Absolutely love being part of the Vici family. Great amenities, amazing staff, & the events by Concierge are fabulous! It’s a friendly vibe every day!. The Roof Top amenities, atmosphere & view are truly incredible! Best location!

Keeping it real: we loved many things about living at Vici. The staff is amazing. The rooftop is a perfect place to hang out after work, for a game or to cook dinner or brunch on the blacktop grill. Location is one of the best in downtown SD as well.....if you don't mind unregulated amplified musicians on the Piazza. We did not renew for this reason. There are amplified musical performers every day and night, and as mentioned by a previous review, it became so bad we had to leave our apartment after work every night just to escape the noise. The "vibrant community" is great if you are a temporary vacationer in a hotel, but when you are a permanent resident, it makes it a tough place to call home. You cannot work, read, or watch TV as the noise will compete with your program - even with windows and doors closed. The noise also makes it hard to enjoy your premium priced patio and view. Again, the apartments are nice and Little Italy is a fun place to live...we really enjoyed living here.....however just know what you will be dealing with. If you are good with urban living sounds (trash trucks, back-up beeps, sirens...) along with daily amplified buskers, private party's with full bands, scheduled events in the piazza, Little Italy club noise (Coco Maya), VICI will be a good fit for you. PROS include: high end appliances, great floor plans, fun neighbors, cool monthly events for residents, small complex vibe, concierge service (James!), waterfront views, walkable area, dog park, yoga deck, fitness center, and did I mention the roof top deck with fire pits, beer tap, cabanas, grills, kitchen, hot tub, amazing sunsets? CONS include: Noise issues mentioned above, dog park smells a bit, we did have a crime spree for awhile that the property addressed. (And you will most likely get hit hard upon move out regarding your deposit. Even if you hire professional cleaning.) If there could be something done about the busker noise, we would defiantly increase the stars. I believe the property is helpless in fighting the issue however. Many residents have tried contacting all of the powers that be, all the way up to the Mayor's office, to get resolution. Hopefully it will resolve soon.

We had a lot of fun times living at Vici for a year, especially because of the amazing staff, amenities, friendly people, and central location! I want to give an especially big shout out to Alex, who has been incredibly friendly, helpful, and always put a lot of love into what he did! The community events, staff and amenities are truly above and beyond! However, we were a corner unit by the plaza and the noise in the evening was just absolutely awful, several times a week during the week. This is not to mention 8am music from the farmers market, like it’s right in your living room. It made living there feel unbearable at times, and nobody checks that the levels are actually compliant with noise ordinances. If you move out, you may as well say goodbye to your deposit, regardless of what condition you leave the place in. We left the apartment in amazing condition and quite clean with only holes from a TV hung up on the wall, but they found super petty things to charge us for far beyond what was estimated in our pre move out inspection. Watch out for this! In conclusion, amazing staff and amenities, and fun for a short period of time, but I personally would not have done it if I knew what I’d really be getting, especially with those prices. If you do choose to live here, you should be very comfortable with loud noise if you’re facing the plaza or street.

I just moved into Vici this past month and I couldn’t have asked for a better move in experience. All the staff are so wonderful and always attentive. Alex in particular assisted me with touring the building and personally helped me apply. He was so kind and answered any questions I had. So far living here for a month has been great. I feel very safe in my new home considering that there is always security and a passcode is required to enter along with to use the elevator. To add, The amenities are spectacular and always maintained very well. Vici is also so dog friendly with a dog park located on the roof which has been truly a life saver.
