I spent a year at The Rey, and it’s been such a positive experience, mostly because of the amazing team. Tina and Matthew were honestly the best—whenever I needed something, they were there to help right away and made sure I had everything I needed. It always felt like they genuinely cared about making my living experience the best it could be. I worked hard to make my apartment feel like home, and the team were so supportive of that. Plus, being walking distance to places like El Cortez and Tweet Street was a huge perk. It felt like a peaceful retreat from downtown, but still close enough to everything I wanted to be near. My time at The Rey was really special, and I’ll always appreciate how the people made it feel like home.

Update 05/29/25: Don’t rent #1410 without negotiating. The construction is directly in front of you—losing privacy and peace six days a week from 5am-6pm drilling, slamming, unrelenting of noise. You will hate it. At the end, I spent 6 hours deep cleaning the apartment, including all appliances, bathrooms, cabinets, refrigerator, etc., before moving out, photos attached, and they still tried to charge us $580 for cleaning and painting… First time in 10 years of renting I have ever had my deposit docked. We are disputing, but disappointed in this and the renewal that came in too high after our lease was up to consider. Overall, would not rent again. 01/2024 Review For reference I moved from a VHCOL, dense urban city, so my opinions are factoring that. I-moved in a couple weeks ago into a 930sqft 2/2 for $3.3k on a high floor. No utilities are included. Parking is $100 for one car and there’s a small overhead storage cage. We got the 1 month free deal. I use AC/Heat liberally and spend about $25 a week on electric, $80 monthly for AT&T fiber, water, trash, etc are very low. Deposit was only $500. The building is beautiful and extremely clean. Wonderfully pet friendly. Amenities, especially the rooftop, are fantastic. Location excellent. The apartments are much larger than the 3D videos make it seem and the views are spectacular— try to make sure you are facing South. The lease is way too long to be legal IMO…40+ pages, so read carefully to know what you are signing. I moved cross country and was stressing out about having a decent place in my budget, and I have to say The Rey is it. We considered Vantage Points but they are having a serious, long term issue with their elevators and I could not risk a 20 minute wait just to take an elevator. You can definitely tell they cut corners with things like super cheap paint and faux wood flooring that scuffs and mats easily, and the appliances have gentle use visible, but very decent quality and I love the aesthetics and convenience of the online portal. Bedrooms are small—will fit a king and not much else. A queen fits comfortably but limited space for a dresser + desk. For the price, it’s hard to find better in the area. I would say overpriced by about $400 monthly for the condition and lack of parking, lack of utilities included, and lack of storage space in the apartment (wonky layouts mean it’s hard to fit dressers, cabinets, desks, etc) but again, new to the area, you will struggle to find better quality for less. Parking is a breeze and only 15 minutes from my job 7 miles north. The AC/Heat is extremely noisy. The street is extremely noisy. The existing blinds in the bedrooms barely block the light out and you can’t add black out liners to them. Building is very quiet. Neighbors are polite and don’t cause trouble or messes. Package system is not perfect but decent so your stuff doesn’t get stolen. The leasing office makes the process pretty easy and they are kind and friendly. On the younger side so I would not expect them to do more than their jobs. This isn’t a career for them and you are not paying for concierge service. Front desk is rarely there. The gate was fixed this week. These gates, elevators, all that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to replace, thousands to maintenance. People griping about it have either never lived in a high rise or are used to luxury apartments. I’ve lived in places that will charge you $100 if you so much as drip water on your neighbor’s balcony. This is a very, very nice apartment complex, not luxury. So far, I am really satisfied. If they increase my rent more than $50 at renewal, I will probably look at another building like Diega or go a little less nice and save $. Better than this, expect to pay $4-5k a month. Don’t rush into signing. Wait 2-4 weeks before your move. Don’t book a tour until you are ready to sign. They drop prices often and randomly you can find a unit $200-300 less than the others. My Honest Review: Good Place. Nice Community and has amenities if you are interested. Staff and Leasing/Management are very nice and informative. Maintenance is quick and professional.

I love living here! My apartment and the whole community really feels like a hotel. I love the white and wood finish in my room. My whole kitchen and appliances are Amazing. I love the wood and white finish in there as well. The stove and oven is the absolute best! I cook everyday and I enjoy it because of my kitchen set up. The gym is awesome and it feels cozy like a real gym. I like that it’s two rooms so it rarely gets crowded. The equipment is amazing and I have everything that I need and more. I’m a gym junkie so the fact that I don’t have to pay for a gym membership made me happy. The sky deck is also super nice! I love going up there to take pictures, watch the sunset and do work! The staff is also very nice and responsive. Maintenance is fast and responsive as well. Those are all things that were very important to me in moving here.

From our first interaction, Laura and the team were very professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping me find the right place. The minute I walked in to the building felt like home. Very comforting. Laura and the team made the process very smooth. Answered every question I had, they were very quick and responsive. Overall very supportive every step of the way. I’m now settled into a space that truly feels like home. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy leasing rental place!
