6 months into living at the North End and only have positive things to say. The location, gym perks, and amenities create the best value in my opinion. Management cares and puts together fun resident events.

My husband and I just moved in a month ago from Michigan and were met with a convenient and clean environment, friendly neighbors and a helpful and dedicated staff. Diana, the leasing agent who toured us, was a class-act professional. She had an insightful, trustworthy and warm disposition to her. Her kind demeanor and gentle reassurance that were were making a good decision was a big reason why we chose The North End Apartments in the first place. 10/10 would recommend at least checking the place out. We are very happy to be a part of the community!

My experience living at the North End was pretty great in terms of location, amenities, and the apartment itself. There were a few cleanliness issues but I personally wasn’t phased except from the dog poop left in the elevator from time to time, but I always saw a cleaning lady on site. The reason for my 3 stars was the management. My roommate needed to break her lease abruptly due to her government job which the apartment honored, however, we did not get our deposit until 10 months later due to error on the management’s end. Since my roommate had to travel across the country due to her work, I initially was told I could pick up the check, but when I arrived at the office they then told me it was my roommate only who could pick up the check not anyone else. I appreciated that security, however, our names were BOTH on the lease so we were very confused at why I couldn’t pick up the check. They never gave us a good reason either. They ended up trying to send the check over the mail to my roommate but kept waiting and waiting and then when they said they sent it, the check was nowhere to be found. We tried calling and emailing many times but they just stopped responding back until 10 months later and finally someone got back to us. Thank you to the person who did. I am not sure if it’s due to a switch in management or just blatant negligence, but there should be no excuse on why our deposit took as long as it did to get to us. I would still live here but just be wary of management and their bad communication, especially if you are moving cross states. Hopefully it’s better now.

I am coming up on 6 years as a resident of the North End, and what was once a beautiful, well-kept, well-managed building has taken a serious turn for the worse over the past year or so. Why am I still here? Two reasons: 1. I hate moving, and 2. The unit itself is great — floor-to-ceiling windows, a great view, spacious and a good place to hang out. However, once I leave my unit, the building is consistently dirty. Elevators and hallways are frequently messy and unpleasant, and outside — where I take my dog — there is regularly broken glass, garbage, and waste left on the ground. There has been a noticeable shift in how residents treat the building, and the sense of community has deteriorated significantly from what it once was. Beyond the general unpleasantness and minor inconveniences, it seems like there is a new issue at least once a month. In February, the hot water was out for nearly an entire week in the middle of winter. Last year, the garage was broken into and over 20 cars were burglarized — mine included. A few weeks ago, we learned that the lobby and hallway on one of the floors were vandalized by an Uber Eats driver. Also recently, someone was shot and killed two blocks from the building. While some of these incidents are external and beyond anyone's control, there is clearly a shift in what it feels like to live here. Most recently, upon renewing my lease I discovered that management had enrolled me in a third-party paid service — Homebody Rent Reporting — without my signature or authorization. The addendum itself states that enrollment is entirely optional and not a condition of the rental agreement, yet it was bundled into the mandatory lease signature packet and I was enrolled without ever signing it. When I raised the issue, I was told the packet "comes from corporate" and that I should sign it and opt out afterward. I cancelled the service myself, but the fact that this happened at all is concerning and prospective residents should be aware. At the end of the day, much of what has gone wrong here comes down to the shift in the community, how residents are choosing to treat the building, and a management approach that has gone severely downhill throughout my residency here.

I called to get more information about the apartment community and had a great experience. Destiny was the one who assisted me, and she was very professional, patient, and informative. She answered all of my questions clearly and made sure I understood the pricing, availability, and the application process. She also had such a warm and welcoming attitude, which made the conversation comfortable and easy. Based on this interaction alone, I would definitely consider leasing here and look forward to scheduling a tour soon.
