Emett Joseph 5 months agoMoved in about a month ago and couldn't be happier! Katrina helped set us up with a self guided tour and she was incredibly friendly, kind and welcoming. When we applied, a leasing agent (AJ) reached out and helped us fill everything out really quickly and smoothly. We were quickly approved, and scheduling move-in was a breeze. They blocked off an elevator for us for a few hours (there was 2 other elevators still available) which made it really easy. Nora showed us the unit when we picked up the keys and answered all of our questions. ALL of the staff here is SO kind and approachable! We really enjoy chatting with them and seeing them around the building all the time! The unit itself is absolutely gorgeous. The windows are massive and the view is phenomenal. The cabinetry and countertops are beautiful, and the layout is very spacious. The garbage disposal, washer/dryer, and air conditioning all seem to work really well. Hot water is quick and high pressure. With the windows closed, it's pretty much silent within the apartment - and for city living, that's phenomenal. We've submitted one maintenance request that was resolved within 24 hours (wow!!) and Oleg was very professional, kind, and helpful. He asked all the right questions and was in and out in about 15-20ish minutes. He even put covers on his shoes to keep the place clean! The location is phenomenal. Across the street from the ferry terminal and waterfront, Pioneer Square, and Pike Place. Close to the freeway and Alaskan Way, and walkable distance to the stadiums and major concert venues. As far as the outside world goes - yes, there's unhoused folk in Seattle, you're in the city. I have not seen any of them hanging outside like other reviews have suggested, and neither my wife or myself have ever felt unsafe. She goes on walks regularly by herself and has not had any problems. Honestly, all things considered, we're very happy with Griffis, and haven't had any issues! We love our home! Written 01/28/2026 & will update it if anything changes, but we don't see that happening :)
Kyle Carter 4 weeks agoI’ve had an excellent experience living at Griffis Waterfront. The apartment, amenities, and location are all great, but what really sets this community apart is the team. When the staff learned that I had accepted a new job, they surprised me with a bottle of wine to celebrate. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture that made my day and speaks volumes about the level of care they show their residents. Thank you to the entire team for making this feel like more than just an apartment building—it’s a community. Highly recommend!
Lorenn Fields a month agoSoon after the HVAC unit fails again and has been inoperable for approximately 3 months, leaving the place stuffy and poorly heated/cooled as the seasons change. I asked if we would be compensated for once again failed service... I was told no. But if i miss a payment or anything I'm evicted or the eviction process starts no later than 24 hours after missing anything per their documents. HVAC still inoperable to this day. Fast forward to Mothers Day... 2026. I receive a call informing me my storage unit which i pay for monthly and was advertised as once again... as secure and safe was broken into. of the probably 60 units... 2 were broken into, and one of those 2 were mines and many items were stolen. This assures me via my opinion this is something internal or a very major lack in security, care, attention to detail when it comes to Griffis Apartments. 3 instances where I have been targeted via theft and mistaken identity. This is in addition to the elevators being inoperable and HVAC units failing for the rest of the residents. I cant account for all of my belongings being taken without seeing at least a still image of the footage they do claim they have... and this time the theft took place because Griffis hired a vendor that cut the power to all of the secure areas (secure areas that i pay for monthly).... and Blu Wing Security failed to make sure all of the access doors were to the building were properly closed. So much that I was advised the day of the theft that the storage area door was secure and accessible by key FOB only... only to find out that was untrue and the power wasn't restored for another day or 2. Griffis refuses to do anything other than say sorry and continue to take rent. Security is trash, effort in trying to repair security failures and shortcomings is horrible, and I do fear submitting this review while I still have approximately 2 months left could lead to more issues. But I cannot sit back and allow these issues to go unknown. I would not rent here and advise others to consider other locations if safety, reliability, and security (peace of mind) matters to them.
Taylor Burnett 5 months agoWe've loved living here. Any maintenance issues are taken care of immediately and the building itself is always clean and taken care of. Katrina and Nora are great at making you feel like more than a number & they actually know your names and listen. Lots of community events and common spaces to spread out and enjoy the view. While others have noted the homeless issue and trash outside, that's our part of Seattle in general, but it does get fixed in a timely manner.
Wandi Gaylen 2 years agoGriffis Seattle Waterfront is an amazing place to live. The views and location can’t be beat. 5 minutes walking in either direction gets me to a Link station and there are buses just steps out the door to take me just about anywhere. But I mainly walk since most of what I need and want is right here. The market, restaurants, bars, shows, live music…it’s all nearby. When I first moved in, I went up to the roof all the time. The amenities and view were top notch. I was shocked to hear they were going to renovate everything since it seemed really nice already but now that the renovations are almost complete, I’m excited to see how much more fantastic living here is going to be. I also have to say how wonderful the Griffis Team is. The leasing staff, maintenance staff, security…they are all super nice and helpful. It really makes a difference and complements the fabulous property.
