Rian Brown a month agoIf I could give no stars I would… My husband & I’s experience here has been 0/10, wouldn’t recommend living here to my worst enemy. So many occurrences have happened due to their lack of security, poor management, and just lack of concern. They have refused to let us out of our lease even though they are not upholding their end of the lease by providing a safe & clean living space. This morning we were trying to let our dogs in the dog park & this man was sleeping in the dog park. He was able to get in because the gates to enter & exit are up 24/7. Then you walk outside the gates and people are all sleeping along the walk way. Where are the dogs supposed to use the restroom? Their excuse of “security” is a joke. If I typed every situation that has happened this review would be 3 pages. Make sure you do your research & read the rest of the lowest reviews before being scammed into a lease here. If you’re a single woman, this complex SCREAMS unsafe. There was a random man last night lingering in the parking garage drinking a beer watching the elevator during “security” work hours. Thank God I wasn’t alone.
Britt Larkin 4 months agoI moved into 1810 Main Apartments in September, and from day one it has been one issue after another. POOR TURN OVER: My unit was not properly cleaned before move-in. There was visible splatter, dust, dirt, and pet hair throughout the apartment, and the carpet smelled strongly of pets. Management initially agreed to deep clean the unit and replace the carpet. All of my kitchen cabinets were peeling — the outer laminate layer was literally separating from the wood underneath. It took FOUR months to replace them. MAITENANCE: My thermostat did not properly maintain temperature from September until March 1st, when it was finally repaired. My ice maker has also been inconsistent since move-in and was only replaced on February 28th. For a property charging $1,700–$2,000+ per unit (I personally pay $2,305 for a 2-bedroom, 2-bath), the overall condition of the building is unacceptable. That’s over $6,000,000 for this poorly maintained and managed property. CLEANLINESS: Common areas are consistently dirty: Elevators (both garage and main) are often filthy. Hallways frequently have pet accidents or spilled food that sit for days. The trash compactor area is regularly disgusting. The pool deck and lounge furniture are covered in dog hair. SAFETY: The garage security gate has not worked consistently and has been left completely open for over a month. Given the downtown location near the bus station, this is a serious safety concern. There is no visible on-site security, and non-residents regularly enter the building. MANAGEMENT: Guest parking was converted to paid parking without proper communication. My guests were charged $315 overnight with no prior notice to residents. Management can post discounts for Rockets games in the elevators, but they can’t communicate major changes like parking policy updates. If you’re expecting a clean, secure, “luxury” living experience, this is not it. For the price point, the upkeep and responsiveness simply do not match what residents are paying. I would not recommend moving here.
Brittinay Larkin 4 months agoPrivatizing the parking to make more money but not changing any of the signage is poor property management. Posting promotions in the elevator oppose to more important business is poor management. Making changes effective immediately with no grace period that cost your residents money without proper notice is poor management! Having the garage open in an area with large homeless population is poor management and a safety concern especially with Houston having high incident rates for car thefts and break ins!
michael ansara a month agoI visited 1810 Main Apartments today for a walkthrough, and the staff immediately made me feel welcome and at home. Gina did an excellent job showing me the available units and took the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions. She was down to earth, professional, and very knowledgeable about the property. I was especially impressed with the amenities and the variety of floor plans offered. I’m really glad I stopped by to experience firsthand how inviting and comfortable the atmosphere was.
Sh'Tara Batte 4 months agoThis property was beautiful and the leasing manager Gina was amazing. She was super friendly and knew everything about the property. After our tour I knew immediately that wanted to live here.
