I am a REALTOR® and yesterday, with my absolute favorite clients H & H, we toured three incredible loft buildings downtown. And while I’ve lived in two of them before, 1309 Main Street, known as The Drakestone, hit differently. Total bullseye. I adore quirky layouts. Exposed structure. Unusual spaces that feel like they have stories to tell. Real architecture. Real character. Not cookie-cutter anything. H & H walked in and immediately felt it. You know that moment when a place speaks to someone before they even try to explain why? That was yesterday. Every fiber aligned. The next chapter of their young lives officially activated. And let me just say, Chad, leasing agent who showed us around, deserves a standing ovation. Friendly, informed, sharp, completely dialed in. The kind of on-site professional who makes the entire experience seamless and elevated. Absolute class act. On a personal level, I see real estate every single day. It takes a lot to impress me. It takes even more to inspire me. This building did both. I think I may already know my future address.

I have loved this building and all of the people that not only work in it but also live it in!! I can’t highly recommend The Drakestone enough. Great management. Amazing building perks with nice monthly parties and amazing neighbors, Chad is an OG and knows everything about the history behind this 100 year old masterpiece of downtown Dallas architecture and history.

We absolutely love The Drakestone, we have a corner unit with an amazing view. Everyone here is very professional especially Chad who helped us from day one when we toured. Whenever we have had any maintenance needs they have been handled promptly and efficiently. The roof top pool, Cupula and Solarium rooms are a great way to get together with friends and family on special occasions. The concierge and valet service (Braylon is awesome always very attentive and helpful) is level 10. The only thing I could say is that the gym could use an upgrade. We plan to reside here for a few years!

Our leasing agent was such a blessing. He showed us around and gave us many options. He was simply professional, and very caring. No words, few folks these days are caring in leasing industry, as I would give him 10 stars if it was possible. I love the place, but lift is what I was interested in as it wasn’t available at the time. Concierges, was simply amazing. Coffee and Latte stands were clean and it’s a very unique place. Although, Lord who I pray to (Jesus) lead me to the right place. Thank you DrakeStone. P.S this gentleman should be in the upper Management role over the property. He was outstanding (End of Feb 2026)

SO BEAUTIFUL & SOME DECENT AMENITIES, BUT... There are some really great things about The Drakestone. For example: the concierge, location, aesthetic, rooftop, mail setup, tenant offices to work from, appliances, and several more. Receiving mail or large packages is a very easy task and that has been such a relief. Chad King was also a 5 out of 5 in regards to the leasing process and move-in arrangements. Now, depending on which floor and in which unit you live, your experience is going to be very different. On my floor, there had been nonstop barking from a handful of dogs above and below which made working from home difficult. That said, I had a respectful conversation with my neighbors and it has essentially stopped. If I could rate them, I would give them five stars. Honestly, all the neighbors I have personally interacted with are great, and everyone I meet in the elevators and common areas seems kind and easy to be around. That is a major upside to living here. I am updating this to four stars, but it is not without hesitation. The elevators break often. At least once a week there are homeless individuals sleeping inside the garage. Gym towels are not always stocked. And, probably the most paradoxical thing about living here is that the rooftop closes at 10 PM, which is hard to understand considering it is one of the best features of the building. That one literally bothers me to no end. I can't go on the rooftop to enjoy the views, air, and a big reason why I live downtown because it's after 10PM?!? So, would I sign here again? I already did. When it comes up a third time, yes, I near certainly will. I do enjoy living here. For the location, there is nowhere else I would rather be. Let that be the most important part of what you take away from this review. I enjoy living here and I want to continue doing so. I just want to see the building reach the level it is clearly capable of.
