One of the best places I've ever lived. Moving out brought tears to my eyes. Really loved everything about it. Location is phenomenal. My unit had a patio overlooking Gay St. with a view of Leveque tower and the "Current" art installation. Gabrielle, Luke and other staff were always friendly and responsive. Neighbors are diverse, interesting, and kind. Amenities are nice and well maintained, and there's always something going on in the area. Gated garage connected to the building makes parking easy and safe. I never had any complaints. I'd highly recommend The Nicholas to anyone looking for an apartment in downtown Columbus.

My boyfriend and I toured The Nicholas with Anna Zhyvotovska. Anna was the absolute best leasing agent we have experienced in Columbus! She was kind, personable, knowledgeable, and very thorough and communicative with every question we had. Thanks to her making us feel comfortable and at home at The Nicholas, we just signed our lease to a unit! Anna helped us find our ideal apartment, she has been so insightful and amazing to work with! Looking forward to moving in :)

I’ve lived here for several years and used to recommend it, but I can’t anymore due to the decline in management. When I first moved in, the property was run by Angela and Kayla and it was excellent. The leasing office was responsive, the building was well maintained, and the community felt organized and cared for. Unfortunately, that level of professionalism is gone. Communication from the leasing office is extremely poor. When I tried to sign my most recent lease, I contacted the office more than a dozen times about an issue in the document and never received a response. The only way I was able to get help was by leaving work early and going to the office in person. Staff have also entered my unit without proper notice or explanation, and my email asking why went unanswered. Package theft is another ongoing issue. Packages frequently go missing, and while management says they review security footage, there is rarely any follow-up or resolution. To be fair, the maintenance team has remained helpful and my unit itself is still in good condition. However, the lack of communication, unauthorized entry into my unit, and ongoing package issues make it difficult to recommend living here anymore.

My partner and I had a very disappointing experience with The Nicholas. We toured back in February, and while we did notice that the place seemed pretty empty and the hallways were not so clean, we were excited by the floor plan we found. After getting approved for the unit, we were promised a lease by a specific date, and we did not receive it as promised. After many attempts to follow up with no response, a new contact reached out to let us know that person was no longer working there and that she could get us the lease. She did not, and after continuous follow up yet again with no response, we were able to get in contact with a higher up manager. She finally got us the lease, so we decided to give them benefit of the doubt. There were some things that we needed to fix on the lease, including making sure that our ESA animals were listed appropriately. We sent them the proper documentation as requested, and we continued to wait another two weeks with limited response and the leasing agent telling us that she was waiting on approval from the manager. We tried to get updates because we could not believe how long this was taking, and once it hit 2 weeks before our supposed move in, we received a voicemail from yet another person telling us that the agent we were talking to has gone on a long vacation. She needed us to resend her all of the emails and documentation because for some reason, she didn’t have that. This was our final straw because it revealed that this place certainly doesn’t have a good work flow or level of communication. We toured on February 20th, and we still did not have a lease 2 months later. We are lucky that we were able to find a new place to live in a different complex that actually answers the phone, and we strongly feel that we dodged a bullet. If they are this disorganized before you even move in, I can’t imagine what it’s like once they have your money. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

Been here for a few years and it's really gone down hill. Packages all over the lobby that are never logged. Constantly changing staff, they can't keep a property manager for the life of them. Pool is ice cold and dirty in the summer. Hallways never vacuumed, are all beat up and the garage gate has been broken a dozen times since moving in. They never have resident events anymore, they only care about trying to get people to move in and don't care about keeping current residents. Tons of vacant apartments. Office staff never return emails or answer phones. Communication from the office is horrible, they never let anyone know what's going on. Location and maintenance are nice but building is no longer recommendable. Much nicer buildings in the area with better staff and lower rates.
