Franziska Wohlpart a month agoWe had a great experience living at The Signal Apartments. From the beginning, the leasing team was incredibly helpful, professional, and welcoming, which made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The maintenance team also did an amazing job throughout our time there — requests were handled very quickly, and the quality of the work was always excellent. It really made a difference knowing things were taken care of so efficiently. The apartments themselves are modern and beautiful, the amenities are well maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the community is great. The location is another huge plus — everything is very walkable, with great restaurants, shops, and places to explore nearby. The neighborhood has a really nice vibe and made living here even more enjoyable. Overall, we truly loved our time at The Signal and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to live in Raleigh.
Patrick Rollmann 7 months agoWiFi is absolutely dogshit, like I'm talking I haven't had these levels of unreliability since 2010-2015. Constantly can't even load Instagram when connected to wifi, and has caused me to drop out of client calls before when doing WFH. Absolutely no way to just "unplug your router", it doesn't exist. There is no available troubleshooting options if you are personally having a bad Internet experience because it's for the entire apartment all the time. They need to hire a better network engineer (assuming they have one). The events that are thrown or offered aren't even comped? A buddy of mine lives in an apartment off of Hillsborough street about a mile from here and whenever his apartment complex throws events they pay for the residents food and drink everytime to encourage more people show up, and they don't even advertise their apartments as "luxury" Elevators constantly down without any communication about it and little communication for when they were working again. Caused taking care of my partner who just had knee reconstructive surgery much more difficult. Reached out to management about the issues I had about it and got absolutely 0 response back. Fire alarms going off at 2am, happened a few times when I had interviews or important events happening the next day. The pool? Being closed? For the entire summer? And getting 0 kind of compensation for it when it's obviously advertised as a main amenity. Just overall super poor communication, transparency, follow-ups, or compensation whenever there are issues, things are down, or broken. There being an electrical issue that lasted over FOUR MONTHS on the main floor which caused the staff office to be in another building and leaving the package room door open for FOUR MONTHS. There were no lights in there and the first month or so and they eventually jerry-rigged a setup to offer some form of lighting, but it was useable at best, but far from any kind of "luxury" experience I've had Packages getting stolen or misplaced on unique, one of a kind, items even though there is a picture for proof of delivery, with no assurance to look into it whatsoever Air conditioning automatically goes up it no one walks in front of it for a while due to "peak times" when there has been no setup or acknowledgement of wanting to do or participate in that, which is bad because we have geckos and if they aren't kept at a certain temperature they can die. Frankly some more build ins would've been appreciated? They do a pretty good job with the kitchen admittedly, but there is so much wasted space potential. If your apartment faces out into the main corridor where the first floor retail is, like mine, then you will be met with a 24/7 barrage of light coming from down below with no acknowledgement or attempt to just point it down on the concrete. This could be easily solved by putting some kind of non transparent material on the top of the light, but instead it just shines all the way up, so if you want to fully solve this issue it forces you to buy blackout curtains which seems a bit ridiculous. They bother to put USBs on some of the outlets, but they are random ones? And same with the Ethernet? I'm sorry but they could afford to run Ethernet and USB outlets to every knee level outlet in the main areas. This applies more generally than to this apartment but, pet rent is a scam. Id much rather you charge me a higher deposit initially to encourage good behavior if the apartment is well kept. It's insane I have 2 small cats, that spend 75% of their day sleeping, and get charged $50 for them to do so. Sometimes can't get truly hot water from the tap or shower. At it's worst it's was never cold, but it was hardly above room temperature.
Vanesa Pink 3 months agoI had a great experience working with Scyler during my move. Relocating can be stressful, but he made the entire process feel smooth and well-organized. He was professional, responsive, and always willing to help with any questions I had. I also absolutely love living at The Signal — the building is beautiful and everything has exceeded my expectations so far. I would definitely recommend both Scyler and moving here!
Swavvys World 2 months agoI had an amazing experience working with Scyler throughout the entire process of getting my apartment. From start to finish, she made everything feel smooth, simple, and completely stress-free. She was always professional, responsive, and willing to answer any questions I had, no matter how small. She kept me informed every step of the way and made sure I felt confident in each decision. 10/10
