Ely at Fremont has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. From the start, the team made me feel welcome, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. The apartments are modern, comfortable, and well-designed — everything feels fresh and well cared for. Beyond the building itself, the community and neighborhood have been amazing. Fremont has such a great energy — a mix of locals, creatives, and friendly people who make you feel like you’re part of something. There’s always something happening nearby, and it’s close enough to downtown to enjoy the nightlife and culture without being right in the chaos or as some say " the shit show". The residents here are laid-back and respectful, and I’ve already met some great people just walking around or hanging by the amenities. The move has really helped me feel connected again, both socially and creatively. The only drawback is the ongoing construction and redevelopment happening around downtown — but honestly, that’s normal for any city’s downtown area. You might hit a little traffic getting in and out of the freeway, but there’s plenty to do within walking distance. You can easily grab an e-bike or scooter and get anywhere you need to go. It’s all part of normal downtown living. Overall, Ely at Fremont and this area have been a great move for me — comfortable living, good people, and a real sense of community.

I recently toured with Drew and I wanted to share how positive the experience was. Drew was incredibly warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to from the moment we arrived. He took the time to understand what we’re looking for and answered all of our questions with patience and clear expertise. What really stood out was how knowledgeable he was—not just about the units themselves, but about the community, amenities, and overall living experience. He made the tour feel relaxed and informative rather than rushed or overly sales-focused. Even though our move is still some time away, Drew left a great impression and made us feel confident about keeping this property on our list. I truly appreciate the time and care he put into showing us around.

I think it is important to share 1st that I submitted a review just over a year ago which I gave an exceptional review for at the time. Since the manager, CeCe, has left I would say my view of living here is completely changed. In the past year, regardless of supervisors or managers taking over, they will not respond to emails or concerns. There are multiple concerns regarding sewage smell coming from the kitchen sink, the laundry facilities now only being open during the day. In addition that multiple washing machines do not work and there's hundreds of people that live here. When I had called in October I was hung up on by Brenda when I asked the status of the washing machines not working. I guess what was upsetting to hers I said that they would not answer email so I was calling instead. Maintenance does a great job on the grounds. The pool is always clean and the landscaping is great. Unfortunately I referred my daughter to come here when CeCe was here, not knowing that it would be CeCe's last weekend here. She's had to experience being able to only use the spare bedroom because the master bedroom's bathroom sink and shower smell like feces. She never got the money from referring her friend and April of last year to the apartments. And we all have to deal with cockroaches, but for some reason in her building for the last few months, there has been an influx of them AND she keeps a very clean home. To complain or even write this review is concerning for the fact of will there be retaliation in a forced to move out by me being honest? But I feel it's extremely important to not only post an excellent or positive review when applicable in addition to posting a review when things aren't so great.

If you see good reviews it’s because they coerced them to write a good review and once posted they’re given something in return. They are only trying to have you move in because they get commission off of your move in. Save your rent money and go somewhere else. Elevators haven’t been working since 2:00 pm today Saturday October 4th and management did nothing, not even a notice on elevator or an email to all the tenants. Living here has been a complete nightmare. I’ve been here 3 years, it was great at first but since the new mgr, Cindy came in in January of 2025 it’s been horrible. It’s so dirty, it stinks, no pool chairs, tenants have to bring their own towels to lay on or their own chairs, the clubhouse is so outdated. The elevators will break down once a month. The garage doors will not work at times so you will be stuck in the garage so beware. There are 3 stairways in the bldg and they’re all so dirty. The back doors are always accessible to homeless people from the alleyway. Many times you will see homeless people sleeping in the clubhouse or the pool area, and sometimes in the stairwell of the bldg. Homeless people have broken into the storage units and have stolen tenants personal property. The carpets on each floor are so dirty that they stink pretty bad. The front of the bldg used to look so pristine and now it looks like a hostel on skid row. They treat tenants as if they live in a college dorm. Paying close to $2k it’s not worth $1k .. a lot of break ins in the main parking lot on 9th. They have 242 units but will throw a party with a limit of 20 people. How ridiculous is that. Cindy is very rude and condescending as well as her minions Adriana and Lily, when I had an issue Adriana told that she has a home and things in her home break down too. My AC unit had been leaking nonstop since June and it’s now September and they finally fixed it but only because I had to yell and scream, and now they’re very rude to me. I have an issue with an upstairs neighbor that stomps all day and all night. She did nothing about it. She kept saying that maybe it was from another unit that would echo to my unit. When she hosts these ridiculous events she try’s to coerce tenants to give a good review by giving them freebies. It’s not worth living here. It’s a dump. I’m only living here until my lease expires. No one rarely renews their lease anymore. And if you have an emergency after 6 pm on a Saturday you’re screwed, the leasing office is closed until Monday at 10. And what’s worse they’re leading office always has signs saying BRB ..the maintenance crew are amazing but unfortunately they can only do so much. It’s a dump, don’t bother coming here. I’ll give you a tour myself so you can see what it’s really like. The pool was about to be shut down because Cindy had not paid the fines for letting the pool go .. health hazard issues, when she saw the pool guy started telling the tenants and she was begging him not to tell us. She paid the fine so he could clean it properly. But the jacuzzi was closed down. Cindy will tell the maintenance crew to lie to tenants and say the part has been ordered but it’s only to buy time so they don’t have to fix or replace the necessary appliances needed. And they like to go around telling the neighbors that someone is posting negative reviews. Hello Cindy it’s me, I’m not hiding like you are. Pictures coming soon. Welcome to Ely on Fremont aka The Dump … oh yeah with all the water damage I’ve asked them via email about ten times now that I need a mold inspection done asap for obviously health reasons. They refuse to do it. 3 months of water damage and no response from Adriana.

I’ve been living here for about a year now and I just renewed my lease for another year with Penny. I signed my first year lease with Jonathan who was fantastic and made the move in process seamlessly easy amidst the beginning of the pandemic last year. The place is beautiful and very well kept with great amenities. I love the fitness center and how clean and organized it always is and the resort style pool and spa and clubhouse. The apartments are beautiful with new appliances, washer and dryer in every unit, modern cabinetry and most have stunning views. Penny is the current manager who took over the property a few months ago and she is absolutely great! I was originally planning on leaving for the Veer Towers, but she reached out and helped find me another apartment within the building that had everything I was looking for. Penny cares about retaining good tenants and she was transparent and completely accessible throughout the process in making my move to the new apartment quick, easy and accommodating. 10/10 all the way around if you’re looking for a new place to call home.
