I wholeheartedly recommend Cortland Mill District. I first lived here during the summer of 2023 for a four-month project and had an incredible experience. So when I decided to move back to Minneapolis, I was thrilled to return to Cortland, and have enjoyed my time here since. The leasing office staff is exceptional. Devon, whom I worked with on both leases, is warm, responsive, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. During my recent move-in, I had some scheduling challenges, and he went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly and took off the pressure off my shoulder. Heather, the other leasing staff member, is equally friendly and helpful. The concierge team is another standout of the Cortland experience. In particular, David, who has been at the front desk since my first stay in 2023, is a warm and reliable presence. I love seeing him on my way out and when I return home, knowing that someone is always there to help if needed. The maintenance team is excellent. My requests are always resolved promptly, and everyone I’ve interacted with has been professional and friendly. Cortland’s central location is a major draw for me. Since I don’t have a car and rely on public transit, Cortland's proximity to light rail and buses makes it easy for me to get around. Grocery shopping is also a breeze, Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s are both a short walk away. Access to the skyway also comes handy in the winter. As a runner, I love being so close to the Mississippi River and its beautiful trails. Among the amenities at Cortland I especially like the Sky Lounge on the top floor. The space is airy, modern, with a large patio and sweeping views. I don't have a car but a bike, the bike room in the garage might look a little old but it feels secure and the bike infrastructure around the building is great. Inside the apartment, good quality hardwood floor, appliance, great heat insulation and sound proofing. I have especially enjoyed the view from my north-facing window. I don't get a ton of direct sunlight but my apartment is always bright. Overall, I am very pleased with living in Cortland Mill District and happy to call it home!

I almost overlooked this apartment complex but am so glad that I took the time to check it out. The location, amenities, assistance options, cleanliness, true dog play areas, and connection to the skyway are all highlights. My leasing agent had a cool name (Sareg) and was just overall pleasant. He listened to what was important to me and showed me how their property matched my needs. He wasn’t pushy about me applying (although I did the same day) and…I was pleased that when I told him if just looked at a sister property, he didn’t try overselling me on Grand Mill. He spoke highly of all their properties equally. The concierge person was also very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Grand Mill. I’d ask the best of most of what anyone would want in an apartment and it’s connected to a great restaurant.

I called about an apartment I had been monitoring on the website for the past three days because I was very interested in applying. When I spoke with the leasing agent, I was told the price was $1,499 instead of the $1,390 listed online. After I pointed this out, he said he would check with his manager and placed me on hold. While waiting, I also asked about touring the apartment. I explained that I am coming from out of state and only have limited time in Minneapolis. He told me he could not give me a tour that day since it was late, which I understood, so I asked if a virtual tour (Zoom/FaceTime) could be arranged for the following day. He initially agreed. When he returned, he said they would honor the $1,390 price shown on the website, but only if I applied that same day, since he could not guarantee the price would remain the same. I respectfully asked if I could have the virtual tour first before applying, as I wanted to see the unit and make sure it met my expectations. At that point, his tone changed. He became impatient, raised his voice, and ultimately hung up on me. I found this very unprofessional and disappointing. As someone relocating from out of state, I expected better communication and customer service. I was genuinely interested in this apartment and had even planned to recommend this complex to others moving to Minneapolis, but this experience changed my perspective. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves how they communicate with potential residents.

Love the community we’ve made at Grand Mill. Ashley is a vibe at concierge. The new staff under Grand Mill (previously under Cortland) are helpful and actively engage with the residents. The amenities are great especially if you have a dog. They’ve got a “bark park” on the 4th floor.

Beautiful place, I've had amazing experience in this community. The leasing office keeps regular engagement events which is fun. The apartment has a beautiful downtown view and you can see the Mississippi river from there. The management is super friendly and maintenance requests are served fast. The building is also connected via sky walks to Target and other major shops. I would definitely recommend staying here
