Nique Rocks 4 months agoA Welcoming Community With Room for a Fitness Upgrade Living at HQ has been a consistently positive experience, and I want to acknowledge the areas where the property excels. The building is clean, well‑maintained, and managed by a team that treats residents with genuine warmth. From management to concierge to the cleaning staff, the greetings are personal, the interactions are respectful, and the environment feels welcoming every day. As someone with a vision impairment, I appreciate the accessibility, the attentiveness, and the way the staff communicates. Even when friendliness is part of the job, it still matters, and it is noticed. The tenants contribute to a strong sense of community, and the events hosted by the property reflect that. The Friday morning breakfasts are always appreciated, and the Wednesday Wind‑Downs, when they take place, create a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere where residents can connect and share feedback. One area that would benefit from improvement is the fitness center. The current equipment does not support a full‑body workout, and the machine available now has limited use. Adding functional equipment such as a Functional Trainer / Multi‑Station Cable Machine, a leg curl machine, a leg extension machine, or a lat pull‑down machine would significantly enhance the experience for residents who rely on the gym as part of their daily routine. Another option would be to provide tenants with access to the fitness center at The Edition Residences, the sister property across the street, which already offers more complete workout equipment. This review reflects the current moment, and things can always evolve. When they do, they evolve for the better. HQ is a great place to live, and enhancing the fitness center would bring the amenities up to the same standard as the rest of the community. K D 11 months agoHQ is a modern, warm option for housing. There’s a sense of community thanks to the welcoming common areas (including a library!) and regular events to bring people together. The signature scent of the property is a nice touch!
A A 6 months ago“A Disappointing, Unsafe, and Mismanaged Property” I am writing to express my profound disappointment and concern regarding my tenancy at this property. The management consistently failed to meet basic safety and habitability standards, leading to significant financial and personal distress. Deceptive "Smoke-Free" Claims: Despite promises that the building was entirely smoke-free, residents frequently encountered strong odors of both tobacco smoke and cannabis throughout all common areas, including every floor, all three elevators, and all resident amenities. The building management clearly failed to enforce its own stated policies. Severe Security Breach and Burglary: The most alarming incident occurred on June 29, 2025. Between approximately 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM, while my brother and I were utilizing the ninth-floor amenity area, professional thieves forcefully broke into our Unit 323. Upon our return, we discovered the door lock was broken and circling freely. The perpetrators skillfully stole all the equipment for our game development studio, including laptops, workstations, express cards, and our primary data server containing all proprietary data. We immediately contacted building security. Upon conducting a joint review of the premises' security footage, we made a shocking discovery: there are absolutely no security cameras installed on any residential floors or stairwells within the building. This profound lack of basic security infrastructure rendered the premises entirely unsafe. Management's Unprofessional Response: Following the police report filing, the true extent of the management's negligence became clear. The HQ apartment manager and management team have consistently and deliberately denied our repeated requests for an official incident report. This intentional obstruction prevented us from submitting a timely claim to our insurance company to mitigate our substantial losses. This burglary did not just cause a minor inconvenience; the data loss resulted in an estimated $2.2 million negative impact on our business operations. The management demonstrated a complete lack of empathy, regret, or accountability regarding our significant loss. Conclusion: We were quiet, non-smoking, professional tenants who expected a safe and professionally managed living environment. Instead, we found a building that failed on every level from unfulfilled promises regarding rent concessions and cleanliness to a shocking lack of security measures. We were compelled to vacate the premises immediately due to the extreme safety risks and the management's cruel indifference. I strongly caution any prospective tenants or businesses against leasing space here. The lack of security and the management's unethical behavior make this property a liability.
Jairo Molina 3 years agoI have lived here since 2018. I love how sturdy the building is. It's so well built, I never hear my neighbors. I also love how well located it is: walking distance to 3 different supermarkets and grocery stores. It can be a little hectic downtown, but that's part of the fun of living amongst the hustle and bustle. Great public spaces including a terrace that overlooks the Minneapolis cityscape. Definitely will stay here.
Rose L. a year agoI’ve lived here for over 2 years and absolutely love it here! Some of my favorite things are: - The amenities! The pool is so nice to have on sunny days and has great views of the city. The guest suites are so convenient for when friends/family visit - Staff! Concierge, leasing, maintenance and Keenan always go above and beyond when it comes to addressing concerns. Everyone has been very pleasant to interact with - Resident events! Wine down Wednesday, breakfast on the go, Taco Tuesday, pool parties, the list goes on! - The location! One of the reasons I chose HQ is because it is in walking distance to several places… Target center, The Amory, US bank stadium and Target Field are all within a 15 minute walk - Security and safety! This is the first building I’ve lived it that has concierge and security. They ensure all non-residents are buzzed in by the respective resident. This helps unsolicited people from gaining access to the property. I really appreciate them for consistently enforcing this for the safety of the residents Overall I am so happy to be residing here and would recommend this building!
