Yokitty Lopez 2 months agoMoving can be stressful, but the staff here has made it such a wonderful experience. The whole team is incredibly friendly and helpful! I specifically want to highlight Jordan for providing absolutely stellar service. Jordan has been so attentive and lightning-fast at responding to any requests or questions I've had since moving in and always happy to help. I cannot express how nice it's been to be be able to communicate with him and know that he truly cares to help..Everyone seems so happy here & the staff still treat you as if you’re a prospective tenant even though you’re a resident which is rare. If you're looking for a great place to live with a team that truly cares about their residents, this is it!!!
Christian Moyer 10 months agoI had the chance to tour The Broadway in Oakland with CJ, and it was such a great experience. CJ was absolutely awesome—knowledgeable, welcoming, and really made the tour enjoyable from start to finish. The building itself is beautiful, with a stylish and modern design that still feels warm and inviting. Highly recommend checking it out!
GERMAINE 6 months agoC.J. was exceptional. Extremely personable, patient and very thoughtful. He answered all questions and left a very impressionable mark on me about not just the apartments he showed my daughter and I, but the spirit of the Staff at "The Broadway." If every location had the spirit of C.J., the reputation of trying to find Housing in Oakland would be impeccable. Whether I live at "The Broadway" or not, I am blessed to have crossed paths with such a professional and a class act. C.J. should always be appreciated !!! Be well.
laurie runyon 2 months agoI proudly called The Broadway home for five years until Sares Regis took over. As a reliable tenant who consistently paid my rent, I spent over a year proactively trying to correct inflated, out of lease charges. Instead of working with me, management manufactured a default in August by rolling those disputed junk fees over to make them look like unpaid rent. The retaliation hit a breaking point on August 28, 2025. Manager Meshana Valerio emailed me a deadline to pay the “junk fees”, but locked my payment portal that exact same day. That very night, right before a holiday weekend, she had the assistant manager serve me a three day notice signed by Meshana, who, according to the DRE, is an unlicensed agent. Trying to turn the situation around, I proactively mailed a personal check for my September rent, but management actually mailed it back to me, claiming they had already started the eviction process. This bad faith behavior trickled down to every aspect of my residency. While I was still legally living there, management locked me out of the Luxor package app and blocked my emails. I had to have my packages sent to another residents address. Because of this communication block, I was left completely in the dark during a middle of the night fire alarm and had to wait until the next day for a neighbor to forward me the safety updates. By January, I had emailed concrete proof of my payments directly to Meshana Valerio and SRG’s attorneys at Rothbard Law Group. Despite Meshana Valerio acknowledging the proof in writing, she pushed forward with the eviction. I have since escalated this to Chris Payne (Managing Director) and Vanessa Smith (Regional Manager), who have completely ignored the evidence. I just simply wanted my ledger corrected. I miss my home and neighbors, and I hope SRG corporate will finally step in to review the facts and hold the onsite team accountable.
Ti BRug 9 months agoToday, I had a walk-in appointment and was fortunate to be scheduled at the last minute to meet with CJ Forrer. CJ was exceptionally courteous and took the time to thoroughly walk me through the various apartment options, highlighting the features and specifications of each. He created a welcoming and comfortable environment, which made it easy for me to discuss my needs and expectations openly. I was particularly impressed by the The Broadway property—its luxurious feel and prime location within walking distance of everything Oakland has to offer truly stood out. If you’re in the market for a high-end apartment in the Oakland area, I highly recommend visiting The Broadway. And when you do, be sure to ask for CJ Forrer —his professionalism and attentiveness make all the difference. Thank you to CJ and The Broadway team for such a great touring experience.
