Bailey Ash 5 months agoI really enjoyed my time at HWH! The apartments feel very modern and stylish, and nothing beats the rooftop hot tub and pool! The views are incredible. The apartment staff were so welcoming and helpful, I felt like part of the family.
Laura Barragan 6 months agoI want to honestly warn you: everything you see in the photos is a lie. Once you arrive, you will realize that the place is in very poor condition. Do not use the jacuzzi — it causes skin infections. Out of the three elevators, only one works. In the parking garage, your car will get hit, and they will never take responsibility. In my case, rats in the garage ate the cables of my car, and management refused to cover the damage. The utilities are over $600, because they are divided among all residents. Many former tenants, including myself, are leaving due to hidden fees imposed by the new manager, who also behaves inappropriately and flirts with female residents. Packages get stolen, sometimes by the staff themselves. Over time, you will be charged more and more for additional things. For several months, I paid over $50,000, yet I had no electricity and no Wi-Fi, and they still charged me for services I did not have. On another occasion, they shut off our electricity and water for two days. My sincere advice: look for another place. Living here will only bring you stress, unfair expenses, and constant problems. I also need to tell you something very serious: two people were killed right in front of the building. This is not a safe place to live or stay. I am attaching evidence to support this.
maya tuffin 9 months agoHWH is not in the slightest Luxury living, for starters the elevators don’t even work half the time, they are always going out and having some sort of issues, to be fair they have three witch is most than some places but usually only one works. The maintenance guy ( as of writing this is Mike) if you want something done you must find him and drag him to do it because he will keep saying he coming and never show up. ( video attached of him yelling at tenant in the building) When I first moved in there was this amazing building manager Tyler but was replaced by a new guy named Paul who has favoritism to people and is dating the leasing agent who she use to date the maintenance guy Mike who gave her the job before Paul came in. She was able to still keep her job after fighting a tenant in the building and the tenant leaving in the ambulance and her being arrested ( Sounds like you must be dating powerful people) pic attached. The building staff loves to gossip and tell all of the tenants business so there is no sense of privacy I heard people tell me things that the maintenance guy mike told them. The building is nice at first glance but after you look you will see they don’t clean often the staircase just walk up it once during the times the elevator doesn’t work and you will see ladders, buckets, trash and doors almost like its their second storage space. ( If you have a dog beware of the sticky stairway floors) The gym is ok if you do free weights because half the machines don’t work the stairs master has been down for over 5 months now. Don’t let them sale you on the free breakfast on Sundays because its is a grilled cheese sandwich that is made on the fryer that was been stored out all week. The location is ideal for food as there is a food truck across the street and a market as well. The people in the building are very great people and very kind the general workers such as valet and front desk people are some of the best at hospitality. The valet once scratched my car but they did accommodate me on it. The general staff is all latin and they stay to themselves and are super kind and more polite and helpful than the main staff. My lease is up soon and I will be moving out, they need to overhaul the staff and this place can be nice.
Emilie Ramos 2 years agoI found the staff to be super responsive and friendly. The rooftop is so lovely; I love the pool and Gym. There is also a dog-walking area. It's centrally located in a lot of cool places. Also, they are pretty quick on maintenance calls. I found that making a request and going down and talking to the staff is the best way to get a response.
JUSTIN TODD WEISS 5 months agoHWH has been my home away from home for 6 years. It's a blend of history and family. Management goes out of its way to know you personally and provides a level of personalized service that makes it feel like a family building. The rooftop is unrivaled for a historic building with rare city views incorporating old and new DTLA. In addition, convenient 25/7 valet parking really makes HWH stand out.
