Jasmine Caver 5 months agoI wanted to take a moment to share how much the Quincy Apartments truly meant to my family. This was the very first place we called home when we relocated to Austin for work in 2022, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts. During our time at the Quincy, we found so much more than an apartment. We found a real sense of community. We met neighbors who quickly became family, experienced some of the most beautiful views Austin has to offer, and lived in a space that felt thoughtfully designed with great appliances and layouts that worked well for everyday life. The location was unbeatable. Being right on Rainey Street meant we were surrounded by live music, energy, and everything that makes Austin special. Bars, restaurants, food trucks, coffee shops, and local shops were all within walking distance. The views overlooking Lady Bird Lake and the Congress Bridge never got old and made even the most ordinary days feel special. Like any downtown high rise, there were occasional realities that come with city living. After more than twelve years of living in downtown high rises in multiple cities, I can confidently say that is simply part of the experience anywhere. Even with that, the Quincy stands out as the best community I have ever lived in. The leasing office was consistently welcoming, helpful, and responsive, but one person truly went above and beyond for our family. Paul was an absolute light from day one. Whether it was helping resolve an issue, answering questions, guiding us through a process, or simply taking the time to sit and talk, he was always there. His patience, responsiveness, and attention to detail never went unnoticed. What truly set Paul apart was how much he genuinely cared. He treated residents like people rather than unit numbers and always approached situations with kindness, respect, and understanding. His knowledge of the building, the community, and resident needs was unmatched. He consistently went the extra mile to make sure everyone felt heard and supported. His positive energy, professionalism, and authenticity made a lasting impact on our family and played a huge role in making the Quincy feel like home. The Quincy community is incredibly lucky to have him. Although we have recently moved on due to another work relocation, the Quincy will always be more than just an apartment building to us. It was a true home and a true community, and we are deeply grateful for the memories, friendships, and experiences we gained there. - Caver Family
Jeff Twiss 4 months agoThe Quincy is a spectacular building and community. The concierge, leasing agents, and other staff are professional, discreet, and go above and beyond to create a first class experience for prospects and residents. Our leasing agent Xavier has been particularly accommodating. From the day we first came in looking for a place he’s gone out of his way to help us make the most of our experience at the Quincy. Bravo!
Ivan Lipka 4 months agoThe apartment itself is great, especially a view! That’s honestly why we chose this place. We considered Quincy because we used to live down the street and were familiar with the area. The concierge team has been great. Everyone is polite and helpful, and there is one gentleman with a beard who truly stands out. I don’t know his name, but he is consistently kind, respectful, and professional. He makes the building feel welcoming. Unfortunately, the move-in experience was extremely Stressful, which is unnecessary All of the leasing director Lanisha Washington. Her behavior was unprofessional, rude, and disappointing . Communication with her felt immature and unprofessional, both in tone and attitude, and at times it was hard to believe I was speaking with someone in a director-level position. I was accused of submitting fake pay stubs, which was shocking and frustrating. She did not appear to understand what ADP is, even though it is one of the most common payroll systems. I had to provide 6month of bank statements on top of 8 weeks of paystubs, and she still claimed the documents “looked strange” or that the formatting was “off,” and therefore fake. She frequently interrupted, made multiple mistakes in the leasing documents, and turned what should have been a simple process into a very stressful experience for us. The situation was only resolved because I escalated it myself by contacting an ADP manager and having ADP support email her directly to confirm the documents were legitimate. That level of escalation should never be required just to move into an apartment. Amenity fee - $75 The pool is in poor condition, none of the three fireplaces work, lamps are missing light bulbs, one of the two grills does not work, and the brew machine has been out of service for over a month. There is also a homeless who lives right by the back door on the building’s property UPD - Nobody contacted me to address the issues I mentioned. On top of that, Lanisha continues to act unprofessional She gives me a side-eye every time she sees me, lol
Janet Lopes a month agoIf I could give The Quincy and Kairoi Properties negative stars, I would. I toured The Quincy Apartments in Austin and initially had a great impression of the property itself. Unfortunately, the leasing and management experience that followed was one of the most frustrating, disorganized, and unprofessional experiences I have ever encountered. By far the worst experience with an apartment community and permanently damaging! After touring, I expressed interest in a specific apartment that was listed as available on their website. Upon arriving to my tour, the leasing team advised the unit was not available and was unaware of why the apartment was listed on their website (Strike 1). Because the alternative options exceeded my budget, I advised the leasing team that I would not be moving forward and subsequently signed a lease elsewhere and paid a deposit on another apartment. Shortly afterward, I received a call from the leasing office informing me that an apartment became available and within my price range. As a result of my prior experience with the technological difficulties of their website, I thoroughly informed the leasing agent I had signed for a lease at another apartment and paid my deposit and would only proceed if both the listing price and unit itself was guaranteed as I fully committed elsewhere. Based on the information they provided, I decided to promptly move forward with an application at The Quincy. After applying, I was then told that the advertised price on the website was not the actual price for the unit (Strike 2). While management ultimately agreed to honor the advertised rate, this should never have happened in the first place. During the application process, a background screening revealed fraudulent activity associated with my rental history (Strike 3). Since then, I have spent weeks and now months working to identify and resolve the issue. I have provided documentation, contacted multiple apartment communities, and repeatedly reached out to The Quincy, Kairoi Residential, and corporate contacts seeking assistance and clarification. Despite countless emails, phone calls, and follow-ups over the course of more than two months, not a single person has provided meaningful support, answers, or accountability. What makes this situation even more concerning is that I never signed a lease with The Quincy, yet I continue receiving emails directing me to complete resident onboarding and account setup tasks (Strike 4). Given the unresolved issues surrounding my application and rental history, this raises serious concerns about their internal processes, communication, and record keeping practices. As a direct result of the misinformation, delays, lack of communication, and overall disorganization, I lost the apartment I had already secured elsewhere and was unable to move forward with The Quincy even after providing various forms of documentation solidifying my rental history. I have spent months trying to resolve issues that should have been addressed immediately. The complete absence of urgency, professionalism, and customer service has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating. While the building itself may be beautiful, prospective renters should understand that the leasing and management experience may be entirely different from what is presented during a tour. Due to their lack of controls and security, prospective renters may experience damaging rental history, which could impact your future apartment search. If you value transparency, professionalism, accurate reporting, responsive management, and proper handling of sensitive personal information, I would strongly encourage you to stay far away from renting at The Quincy or any property managed by Kairoi Residential.
Shae Verkouter a month agoIf you like having your car stolen from the garage, this is the place for you! I don’t even know where to start with this place. Actually yes I do, the pool. There is debris in the pool like rocks. Like chunks of gravel just sitting at the bottom. I saw it myself. This isn’t me being dramatic, this is a legitimate safety hazard that nobody seems to care about or apparently even notice. Who is checking on this? Who is responsible for this? Because it is not being handled. No urgency, no accountability, nothing. Just that flat “not my problem” energy that makes me and other ppl that live here want to scream. I’m going to keep it cute and just say the manager here is not someone who should be working with people. She is rude, she is dismissive, and she clearly has zero interest in actually doing her job. Every interaction feels like you’re bothering her by existing. Ma’am you work here.
