The Slate Apartments

After looking at many apartments in the area, I chose The Slate, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The only downside is that there is no garbage disposal. Other than that, this has been the most comfortable apartment building I’ve lived in. The building has fewer units, so it’s quiet, and the soundproofing is great, I rarely hear my neighbors or anyone upstairs. The parking garage has elevator access and is climate-controlled, which is a big plus in Omaha. Maintenance and the leasing office are very responsive, often coming within a few hours or by the next morning. The layout is well designed, with lots of kitchen cabinet space and a large walk-in closet. I also prefer the walk-in shower over a bathtub because it feels cleaner and easier to maintain. The coffee shop downstairs is affordable, and the secure package room means I’ve never lost a package. Overall, I highly recommend The Slate.

I lived here for a year and worked within walking distance. If I were to return to downtown, I would likely go to another apartment that's higher quality for a similar price. Pros: Downtown Location Inside Optional Parking Quick Maintenance Staff Free Low Speed Internet Cons: Pet Friendly (you will hear barking dogs) Remodeled Facilty with unlevel floors and flat paint that gets dirty when touched with anything. Low Quality Kitchen Finishes (no in-sink Gabage Disposal or Faucet Spray/Hose) Old and Minimal Gym Equipment

I've really enjoyed my time at Slate Apartments. The building is well-maintained and has a modern, upscale feel. The rooftop is a major highlight—great views and a perfect spot to relax or hang out. The amenities are top-notch and make everyday living really convenient. I also want to give a special shoutout to Marinda—she’s incredibly kind, helpful, and always a pleasure to interact with. Overall, a great place to live with a welcoming atmosphere.

The Slate is truly a great place to live! My apartment had a wonderful kitchen with a large island that was great for entertaining as well as tons of natural light and a balcony that I enjoyed spending warm evenings on. The building is clean and well maintained, fellow tenants are kind and courteous, and the amenities (such as the gym, parking garage, bike rooms, and rooftop patio) have basically everything you could need. Tracy, the manager, is incredible and does a great job making sure all your needs are met. My work unfortunately moved me earlier than I expected, but Tracy continued to reach out to help me stay on top of things and truly seems to care about tenants as people. The location is convenient to Creighton, the College World Series, the Old Market, and more. If you are looking for a good place to live in downtown Omaha, this is without a doubt the place to be.

I absolutely love living at the Slate Apartments! The amenities are great - my favorite part is the gym. It has everything I need, and a great view of the city. The management is friendly, and quick to respond. Tracy, the building manager, is super sweet! She has always treated with kindness, and is very attentive to our needs. The apartment complex is well kept and cleaned regularly. I have zero complaints!
