This is a fantastic apartment complex! We have lived here for going pass two years and have renewed our lease for another two years.The staff is friendly, the onsite maintenance takes care of any problems you have in your unit promptly. The amenities include a nice gym and yoga room. A club room, with a billards table, a coffee machine, televisions ,and boardgames where we have made many friends with the residents here. The outside amenities are the best with I believe is one of the best pools in KC and a hot tub to enjoy all year long. Absolutely ,do the hot tub when it snows. They have two outside grilling stations. A large outdoor fire pit to sit around. A nicely stocked up Mini Market is located in the building. Which is a blessing when you have been dancing and drinking all night at the clubs. They do amazing residents events here monthly. Sometime just a little stop by the club room for a grab and go. There is not many places in downtown KC that do residents events monthly. It is super quiet here, like being in the suburbs but in the River Market. I have looked up at the stars in the evening many of summer nights. They have an inside gated parking garage to keep you out of the elements. A pet washing station. Where we have taken Dobby multiple times. A bike storage area. We still need to get bikes to take a leisurely ride to Berkeley River Front less then a mile away from the apartment. A fenced in free dog park is only a block away. The area in the River Market has multiple restaurants, bars ,a city market ,and a streetcar within a couple of blocks that can take you all the way down to Power and Light District, a library, Westport, museums, the Country Club Plaza , and the UMKC area for free. We have been in downtown KCMO for about 10 years now and this has been the best so far for base rent and the multiple amenities and activities that are included.

We have lived here just over a year as of February 2021. It has been one of the best decisions we ever made. My spouse had been commuting to Kansas City for three years from Lawrence, Kansas, where we have lived for decades. When we became empty-nesters, she wanted to stop the long commute. So we started the process of looking for a place to live. I work from home. We knew we wanted to live in the city, toured the Plaza, Power & Light, and the River Market areas. We found apartments we loved at each location. However, thinking about it, the Plaza had become a destination comprised of a lot of national tenants, though it had a healthy neighborhood, we wanted more of a taste of Kansas City locals. Power & Light was a different crowd always, depending on who was performing at the T-Mobile Center, country one night, Disney the next. We found the River Market and 531 Grand to be the perfect location for us. Local restaurants, shops, and suppliers. We felt that when we moved to this area, it would feel like a neighborhood, and we were right! We can hop on the light rail and head to Power & Light; we can walk and get fresh produce. We can head to any number of locally-owned restaurants. It is perfect! The staff and management at 531 Grand are fantastic! Beacon has hired a great team. Responsive, friendly, and you can tell they want the residents to have a great experience. Here are a few photos from our deck. The Superbowl parade went directly under us (Icing on the cake).

We absolutely love living here! The building is in a great location, walkable to great restaurants, bars, and services. The building amenities are fabulous and very well maintained from the pool area to the gym to the club room. The residents are incredibly friendly. Our unit is also very well laid out - we love it. The best part about the building is the staff. They are incredibly responsive to any issues we have. They know us and our dog by name, and they plan awesome, very frequent events for the community. We moved to KC this year, and they've helped us to create a sense of community quickly!

Highly recommend! I have lived here a month so far. The move in process was smooth sailing. The enclosed/secure parking is one of the top reasons I chose 531 Grand. The units are spacious, modern and well maintained. The walk in closets are awesome and the kitchens have plenty of cabinet/pantry space. Also, I love the amenities! The pool, hot tub, gym and clubhouse are by far the best out of all the apartments I toured nearby. I love being close enough to walk to the farmers market/City Market and nearby restaurants! Having street car stops is an extra bonus because you can easily travel in the city. There is easy access to the highways too. I really appreciate the cleanliness throughout the entire complex. The management is so kind and helpful! There are fun events hosted by the management too! I truly love living here - I'm so happy that 531 Grand is home!

I absolutely love my home at 531 Grand. I want to really highlight the staff running the building. The group of ladies in the leasing office are all just the nicest people to work with and they work really hard to help residence with anything they can. They also take the time to actually get to know the residence, making the place really feel like a home. The Maintenace guys are so hard working, friendly, and are so fast to respond to maintenance requests. The staff really go the extra mile to make living here so amazing. Plus, the different social events they throw for residents are actually much fun. The amenities are always clean and well maintained. I love the pool deck in the summer, it is definitely the place to be. Lastly, the people in the building are what makes living here so amazing. The community here is so diverse, making the building a great to meet new people. I highly recommend this community to anyone moving to Kansas City from out of town or just looking for a great place to live.
