Kathryn Wallace 11 months agoI recently moved out after a year at The Seville, and I genuinely cherished my time there. The building is incredibly well-managed – Christopher, the apartment manager, was always ready to help and quick to resolve any issues that came up. His responsiveness and care made a huge difference and created a real sense of community. The maintenance team, especially Manny, was fantastic. Repairs were always handled quickly and thoroughly, which gave me real peace of mind. Rosa kept the building spotless and was always a friendly face to see around, singing while she vacuums :) The apartment itself had great storage, tons of natural light, and the location can’t be beat – walkable, convenient, and close to everything. While the gym is pretty basic and the apartment finishes are standard for the area, the excellent management and overall experience more than made up for it. I’m really grateful for my year at The Seville and all the pool parties I got to host. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, well-run place to live.
Daniel McCarthy 9 months agoThe Seville is extremely well run under its manager, Christopher. We found him to be friendly and accessible, a true professional. The building is kept clean and they are very attentive to issues that arise, maintenance, tracking of packages, etc. But for an office change, we would have stayed. But Christopher assisted with our move out very well, especially with his advice on how best to secure the necessary permits and parking reservation for the movers. We highly recommend the Seville, perfect location, perfect home.
Sam M a year agoEdit Oct 2024: Increased from 1 to 3 stars to better represent the most recent community management. Christopher has done a good job since taking over. He is around every day, easy to get ahold of, and handles issues in a timely manner. Maintenance and cleaning staff are also great. My ventilation concern was further addressed by maintenance back in April, I have not experienced any additional pests, and the “buy nothing” has been reined in. In my opinion, unit prices are still high for what you get, but wanted to recognize the on-site staff’s efforts. Original Mar 2024: I would not recommend The Seville apartments based on my experience living here for the last 9 months. If you look at previous 5-star reviews, you’ll notice a majority of them mention Shelby (who was amazing) but she no longer works here. When she left, so did the the community building events and management attentiveness/personal touch. I’m now counting down the days until I get to leave. Pros: - Thick walls - Location is really accessible - Maintenance is pretty responsive and during the weekdays Rosa does a great job cleaning the building’s shared spaces - Utilities are included in the rent - Apartment square footages are larger than other building units Cons: - I dealt with exhaust fumes entering my apartment for a month and a half. Property management knew the cause of the issue and instead of taking immediate action to resolve it (as simple as moving a car outside) they brushed off the health risk by offering an air purifier and a carbon filter, both of which physically displayed the fume’s effects but did not fix the problem (see photos). Management refused to let me break my lease or provide compensation for the health risk they knowingly continued to put me in. After 6 weeks of almost daily fumes and frustrating emails, they finally enacted the solution they should have done from day one. Note that the ventilation system was never addressed by management, and like other residents, pollution from other units continues to enter the apartment (ie cigarette smoke). - The Seville’s “security” is almost non-existent (picture off-hours-only security guards that don’t take note or interact with anyone coming in/out of the building.) This leads to a lot of people entering the building that shouldn’t be. - I’ve had cockroaches twice - The “buy nothing” that started in the lobby has turned into a dumping ground for residents’ trash (see photos) and it gets overwhelming on weekends until maintenance comes back on Monday mornings to dispose of the leftovers. - The two parking areas on site seem like a great perk and are priced reasonably for the area. However, the interior garage has ceilings that are falling apart overtop of the cars (see photos) and the exterior lot’s entrance/exit is consistently blocked by street vehicles and building management makes no effort to assist when this happens. I wish I could say you pay for what you get here, but even that would be too forgiving. The rates are comparable with many luxury building apartments in the area, the cons far outweigh the pros and the pros can easily be found elsewhere. I highly recommend steering clear of The Seville and other Gelman Property Management buildings.
Anna Kuzmic 5 months agoThe Seville is a wonderful place to live. The management staff is fantastic and super responsive. Location is great right off of 14th street. Chris has been so helpful with any questions that come up. Highly recommend!
Connor Vicary a year agoI’d give a much lower rating for the complex and apartment management, but this is purely to show how great the community manager Chris was. Chris has been amazing since taking over the community management role. He is around everyday, ensuring any issues are taken care of as well as taking out his own time to get to know others within the apartment complex. Here is a list of things that come across my mind when writing this review: - Not worth the money and management keep skyrocketing their prices each year. If they want to do this, make it make sense by upgrading apartments, improving the utilities and also including washer and dryers in peoples homes. - I was sold the wrong floor plan. Before moving here from the UK I only saw the floor plan of “my” studio, which had a balcony in it. Turns out, this was a lie and the only balcony that I could see out of my windows is the persons above me. This left me in an apartment that is expensive and has no natural lighting. Depressing. When speaking with the previous community manager and apartment management about this, they were not interested nor apologetic for doing this.
