Alex Pancake 5 months agoHamilton House is a great place to live! I lived there for 1.5 yrs. It is well maintained, has a sauna(!), and is in a great location! Walter and Tony behind the desk are super nice and always cheerful. The pool is deep, which is super rare for apartments in DC. Kyle and George in the rental office were also super accommodating and friendly. Overall, this is an easy and comfortable place to call home.
Rebecca Giles 5 months agoWe moved our son into Hamilton House in 2021, after GWU locked students out of their dormitories during the COVID pandemic. He just moved out after nearly 5 years there, and I have nothing but good things to say about his experience. His studio apartment was perfect for a college kid’s needs, and anytime there were maintenance issues they were promptly addressed. He didn’t have to worry about anything. The most important aspect of his stay there, though, was the staff. From George, who we helped us choose a unit and set up the lease, to the front door staff—especially Walter (who my son grew to love and will miss)—everyone went above and beyond to be welcoming and helpful, not just to my son but to my husband and me when we would visit. Even during move out this was the case (special mention again to Walter for his help—you are an angel!). Any GW parents looking into Hamilton House for their student: this is a really great option for off campus housing. It’s quiet, safe, and the building is managed well. Can’t recommend highly enough!
Ficardo Núñez Ibars 7 months agoI lived there in a studio for one year and a half. You have a nice pool in summer , a small but complete gym, a nice rooftop with barbecue and a laundry room (Only place that I felt frustrated because sometimes some washing machines and dryers didn’t work) All problems that I had have a quick fix from the team. There is always a doormen ( I’m going to miss Walter and Tony) The location is great. If you choose a nice unit I bet you’ll have a nice experience. Attached a photo during the 4 of July fireworks in the rooftop
Lenka M 6 months agoI toured the building with Ken and wanted to share how positive the experience was. I had visited several other places beforehand, and none of them really compared. Ken was easy to talk to, clearly knowledgeable, and took the time to answer my questions in a thoughtful, unhurried way. The tour felt relaxed and straightforward, and I never felt pressured—just supported in figuring out if this was the right fit. The building itself is very well maintained, the apartments are thoughtfully laid out, and everything you need is there. The location is great, and the views were a huge plus for me. Ken was professional but also genuinely friendly, which really set him apart from other tours I had, and he played a big role in my decision to move into the building. I’m very glad he was my first point of contact and would definitely recommend checking out the available apartments and reaching out to management if you’re looking for a well-kept building with helpful, approachable staff.
Andrew Mulia a year agoHaving lived in this building for close to 4 years now (moved in January 2021) and finally moving out, all I can say is how great this place is for anyone looking for an affordable and accessible location in Washington DC. You are literally 5 minutes walk away from the Dupont Metro Station (Red Line) and the Georgetown GUTS Bus (Near Pizza Paradiso). The units have built in dryer and laundry as well as heating and cooling units. They also have maintenance staff handy, that you can directly book an appointment with them through the AppFolio app. They also have annual festive events in the building, such as during Valentine with sweets, summer where they host catered BBQs, Halloween candies for all tenants and Christmas with the tree and hot chocolate. I am so grateful for George, Walter and Tony who have taken such good care of me. Moving to a new city, starting school or a new job can be very stressful, but its really good to know that your apartment is always a safe space to be in and that everything is always working. The cherry on top of everything was that the rent included all of your utilities (electricity and water) which I thought was a very good deal. Thank you again Hamilton House for the last 4 years!!!
