I’ve been living at The Hale since the summer of 2024, and I honestly couldn’t imagine living anywhere else in the area. As a law student, having a place that feels both comfortable and genuinely enjoyable to come home to makes a huge difference, and The Hale delivers on that every day. One of the things that stands out most is how much the building feels like a community. My friends and I all live in different buildings nearby, but we almost always end up at The Hale when we want to spend time together. It’s just the best space in the neighborhood to hang out, whether that’s my apartment or up on the rooftop. The lobby itself is easily the nicest I’ve seen. It has a clean, bright aesthetic that makes coming home feel like a reset rather than just the end of a long day. The amenities overall are top-tier, and the rooftop is a highlight. What really sets the building apart, though, is the people. The front desk team is consistently welcoming, and it never goes unnoticed. Andre, in particular, is always there in the mornings with a friendly hello, which says a lot about the culture here. The management team has also been excellent. Jess, the new leasing manager, has made a real impact. She took the time to understand my situation and made me feel genuinely seen as a resident, especially when I needed her help. That kind of responsiveness goes a long way. On top of everything, the location couldn’t be more convenient. There’s a grocery store right across the street, a metro stop just a block away, and even a beer garden nearby. It makes day-to-day life incredibly easy. I recommend The Hale to anyone I talk to who’s looking in the area. It’s one of those rare places that actually lives up to what you hope for when you move in.

I’ve lived here for the past two years and honestly have had an excellent experience the entire time. One of the biggest things for me has been how reliable and responsive the staff is. Any service request I’ve submitted has been handled incredibly fast, and maintenance has always been professional and respectful. The security team also deserves a huge shoutout. They’re always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and I’ve genuinely felt safe living here at all times, which is something you really can’t put a price on. The amenities are also a major highlight. The pool area during the summer is awesome and always well maintained, and I use the pool table/lounge area pretty often as well. Everything is kept clean and actually feels like amenities residents truly get to enjoy instead of just something advertised online. And I especially want to recognize Andre. He is hands down the best property manager I’ve dealt with anywhere. He’s professional, approachable, responsive, and clearly cares about the residents and the community here. You can tell he takes pride in making sure things run smoothly, and it makes a huge difference in the overall experience living here. Great management can completely change how a property feels, and Andre absolutely sets the standard. He deserves a ton of credit for how well this place is run. Overall, I genuinely have zero complaints after two years here and would absolutely recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for a place that’s safe, well-managed, and enjoyable to live in.

after living here for over 1.5 years, I wanted to shoutout some of the kind people who work here and the lovely amenities the Hale has. Lana and Andre are two of the kindest concierge staff and we always love chatting to them. They’re consistent with being responsive and putting things into the fridge, and are always lovely when we have questions. The amenity spaces are gorgeous, from the gym, the sky lounge, the upstairs pool area, and the second floor spaces. The maintenance team is also so friendly and responsive. They are also a joy to chat with them we see them & are very quick with maintenance tickets. After roughly 6 months of living here, our apartment showed clear cracks in wall paint- around some of the lighting fixtures, loose screws with a door, moving floor panels, and other issues, but the maintenance team quickly fixed most of these concerns. Overall, it’s a great place we call home.

We’ve been at the Hale for over a year now and truly couldn’t be happier here. The amenities are top-tier, especially the office and work spaces. As a remote worker, having those areas available has been a great change of scenery and a major benefit during the work week. What really sets the Hale apart from other buildings I’ve lived in though, is the staff. Every interaction has been incredibly positive - Sei helping coordinate our cross-country move, Eva supporting us through an upgrade to a larger apartment, Andre with being resourceful and assisting with everyday things around the building. Their responsiveness, communication, and overall willingness to help consistently make living here a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

I’ve lived in this building going on two years now, and I’ve been disappointed with the concierge experience—especially considering the rent residents pay and the expectations that come with a Greystar-managed property. One recurring issue is grocery deliveries. On multiple occasions, grocery orders that require refrigeration have been left sitting at the front desk/counter rather than being placed in the refrigerator area for extended periods of time. That creates unnecessary stress and defeats the purpose of having concierge support. Package handling and resident assistance have also been frustrating. When packages cannot be located, it often feels like there is little effort made to help investigate or provide updates beyond “wait and see if it shows up.” At times, it seems packages are being placed in the package room without being properly logged, resulting in delays and confusion for residents trying to locate deliveries. The overall attitude from all concierge staff has also been disappointing. Concierge is the first interaction residents have when entering the building, and unfortunately many interactions come across as dismissive, unfriendly, or as though helping residents is an inconvenience rather than part of the role. A welcoming and professional front desk experience should be a basic expectation in a building at this price point. That said, I want to recognize Svetlana because she consistently stands out. She goes above and beyond to help residents, greets people warmly, assists when available, remembers unit numbers, helps locate packages, and approaches issues with a positive attitude. She demonstrates the level of service and resident care I wish was consistent across the concierge team. I hope management takes resident feedback seriously because the concierge experience has a major impact on day-to-day life in the building.
